The Bancor Wallet allows users to manage and control several different elements using the "Wallet Settings" section.
How to find the "Wallet Settings" section?
- Visit wallet settings on bancor.network (you will need to log in to your account before you can access wallet settings).
- Next to your tokens, you will see a gear icon
Click on it to open the "Wallet Settings" section.
- In the "Wallet Settings" section,
You will find several options to manage your wallet:
This section will allow you to manually add/remove tokens from your view. You can select any token from our supported list and easily add/remove to your wallet view. Keep in mind that you will be able to receive and transfer any of these tokens yet not all of them are convertible in our network.
Your wallet file is protected by a password defined by you. We allow you to update the password as you desire in order to make sure it is safe and secure.
In the rare case where you forgot your password and unable to sign a transaction on the blockchain, we offer the option to use any of the following recovery ways:
If you previously saved an encrypted json wallet file, you can upload it and unlock it with your password (keep in mind, this recovery process requires you to know the password for that wallet file).
Once you've uploaded the file and signed it successfully, we will save the encrypted file and you will be able to sign future transactions with the password you used when uploading the file.
Recovery / Mnemonic Phrase
On wallet creation, you were given a 12-word recovery phrase (also known as the mnemonic phrase). You can enter the 12 words into the text box in the correct order and, if valid, you will be able to proceed to the next stage.
Once you've entered the words successfully, you will be prompted to set a password for your wallet. This password will be used for future transactions you would like to sign using bancor.network.
If you have your wallet's private key saved securely, you will be able to use it to recover access to your wallet.
Once you've entered it successfully, you will be prompted to set a password for your wallet. This password will be used for future transactions you would like to sign using bancor.network.
Your Bancor wallet is always yours. As such, you are free to download a copy of your encrypted wallet file (protected with the password you have set upon creation of your wallet) and save it.
Clicking the "Download Keystore File" will download the wallet json file to your computer. Keep in mind, accessing your wallet is available only when using the file with the password you have set on bancor.network.
